The next YouNG market is being held on Saturday 5 July on Central Avenue, West Bridgford from 12 noon to 4pm.
YouNG is a group of seven 15-year-olds – one from each of Rushcliffe secondary schools – who promote events and spread news throughout the Borough to young people. They also develop young people’s talents in many ways, including their business skills by holding markets to make them more job-ready and confident.
The first two YouNG markets provided a perfect platform for many young people who made and sold their products displaying their entrepreneurial talents, plus performers who danced, sang and played at the event. The video of the second market in Bingham in March is at http://vimeo.com/90004435
The group is now looking for performers and stallholders to come forward and apply for the next market this summer. The deadline for interest is 30 May. Performers and stallholders need to be aged 12 to 21 and live or study in Rushcliffe. The application forms are available at www.youngnetworkgroup.org/young-market.
