The Mayor of Gedling will be hosting a special charity remembrance concert on Saturday 23 November at Carlton Forum Leisure centre to raise money for homeless people and the Royal British Legion.
The Mayor of Gedling, Councillor Bob Collis, will be raising money for Framework, Emmanuel house and the Royal British Legion. As well as raising money, the Mayor also wants to raise awareness of the issue of homelessness in the borough and especially the issue of people who have served in the armed forces and are now homeless.
Entertainment will be provided by the Carlton Male Voice choir and the Newstead Brass band will be performing hymns at the event.
Mayor of Gedling, Councillor Bob Collis said;
“It’s very important that we remember those who gave their lives fighting for our freedom and we mustn’t forget those members of the armed forces who are now fighting their own battle with homelessness and we must do everything we can to help them.”
Tickets are priced at £6 and are available from the civic centre, Carlton forum leisure centre or people can contact the council on 0115 901 3844.
