Amazing exam results at Dagfa School!

1012-006Dagfa School Nottingham is a non-selective, co-educational, independent school for children aged 2 to 16 conveniently situated in Beeston, near to the Nottingham University Campus.

This year, Dagfa celebrated its best exam results ever, with 90% of pupils achieving 5 or more A*-C grades.  Predictions of the pupils’ grades based on national tests showed that only 65% were likely to achieve this and so the significant improvement of 25% is very gratifying.

In addition, the predictions showed that 9.8% of exams would be passed at A or A*, but on results day we discovered that 21.4% were at A or A* grade.

These results demonstrate that Dagfa School does a very good job at helping struggling pupils to achieve the 5 passes required for college entry, but also can inspire and enthuse the more gifted pupils to stretch themselves further.

Dagfa offers a broad range of options to choose from, including Drama, Sociology and Computing, as well as all the standard subjects.  We also offer  extra subjects for those pupils who are keen and willing.  Additional Maths is available for those pupils gifted at maths, and Religious Studies is offered as a lunchtime club for those interested in philosophy and ethics.  This year, some pupils will leave with 13 GCSE qualifications!  Alternatively, we can restrict the number of subjects taken to allow pupils to have extra, supported time to improve their core subjects.

At Dagfa School, we pride ourselves on being able to treat every pupil as an individual, knowing and understanding their unique needs, desires and abilities, and being able to add value to every single pupil, without undue stress or pressure.  We can do this because of our small class sizes and caring family atmosphere.

Our next Open Day is on Saturday 9th November from 10am-12 noon.  Come and see why we are so proud of our wonderful school.
