Dagfa School, Nottingham is holding an Open Day on Saturday 9th March and all interested parents and pupils are invited to see the school for themselves. All are welcome to attend.
The Open Day, which will be held between 10am and 12noon is an excellent opportunity to both visit the school and meet the staff. Current pupils will be giving tours of the school and activities will take place for potential new pupils to get involved with.
Dagfa School is an independent, coeducational and non-selective school for children aged 3-16.
The school is proud of its 5 year average of 84% of pupils achieving A*-C grades at GCSE and the January 2012 Independent Schools Inspectorate report commented –
‘The level of attainment at Dagfa at GCSE is above the average achieved by pupils of similar ability.’ The Open Day will enable both parents and potential pupils to see the school’s working environment for themselves and gain a clearer insight into how the school achieves such good results.
The event will also see the promotion of the Dagfa Diamond Class. This is a new initiative starting from September 2013 and is aimed at year 10 pupils. It offers a two year dedicated learning programme running up to the important GCSE exam period.
The Diamond Class, named for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Year, is aimed at pupils of average ability and will consist of just 10-12 pupils. The classes will aim to identify the needs of every pupil through tailored learning programmes.
If parents and pupils are interested to learn more – then Jane Le Poidevin, Head of the School for the past 4 years, and her dedicated staff will be available to explain in more detail at the Open Day on the 9th.
The school is based at 57 Broadgate, Beeston, 3.9 miles away from the centre of Nottingham. (NG9 2FU)
