Long Description :

Found in an enchanting woodland setting on the edge of Coulsdon, Dotty’s Tea Garden is a quirky vintage tearoom that opens daily for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, or simply a coffee and a cake.

As the sister café of the award-winning Dotty’s Teahouse, in Carshalton, our tea garden, which was originally a cricket pavilion, features our trademark décor, upcycled furniture and vintage crockery.

Serving loose leaf-teas, small-batch coffee, delicious cakes, our trademark cheese-on-toast and other home-made delights, Dotty’s Tea Garden also offers decadent pre-booked afternoon teas.

We pride ourselves on our family-friendly atmosphere and there are always a selection of toys and books available for children to play with.

We’ve produced a woodland trail to help families explore the park and its wildlife too. Trail sheets can be picked up from the tearoom and there is a monthly prize for kids.

Found in a small copse known as Mother Kitty’s Shaw, tucked away in Rickman Hill Recreation Ground, Dotty’s Tea Garden is also dog-friendly with plenty of room to explore outdoors.

In the summer, we will have tables and chairs outside – and we even have a hatch on the side so that dog-walkers can pick up a coffee on the go.

Keep an eye out for special events at Dotty’s Tea Garden, which include creative workshops and weekly story-time and music sessions for the little ones.

Local community groups, such as sewing clubs, knitters and make-do-and-mend, are always welcome – and home-workers are even encouraged to bring their laptops along, as there is excellent Wi-Fi.

In addition, our premises is available to hire for private parties – such as baby showers, birthday teas and engagement celebrations – with room for up to 25 people comfortably seated.

Open seven days a week, from 8.30am to 4pm, there is also plenty of free parking. Alternatively, for those taking public transport, there is a good bus service or the nearest train stations are Coulsdon South, Chipstead and Woodmansterne.

We can’t wait to meet you at Dotty’s Tea Garden, whether you’re looking to get your family out and about in the fresh air or you’re booking in for a decadent afternoon tea with your friends.
