Free Metrobus Service around Crawley for a Festive Family Fun Day at the Apple Tree Centre with UKHarvest & WSCC

UKHarvest, Sussex’s leading food rescue and redistribution charity, have partnered with Metrobus to offer a FREE bus service to the residents of Crawley on 16th December. This will give all residents of Crawley the opportunity to join UKHarvest, in conjunction with WSCC and other HAF (Holiday Activity and Food programme) providers, for an exciting Family Fun Day filled with exploration and festive cheer, suitable for children aged 4-16.

As Christmas approaches, Metrobus are spreading joy and generosity with a bespoke bus route for one day only. This bus will offer families and residents of Crawley the opportunity to travel free of charge, starting at Broadfield Barton North and traveling to Maidenbower Place, Three Bridges Gales Drive, Crawley Bus Station and Ifield The Orchard (for The Apple Tree Centre), before returning back to Broadfield Barton North. Crawley residents can hop on to visit the event, and travel back safely at the end of the day.

Yvonne Thomson, UKHarvest’s CEO added “We are constantly looking for new ways to ensure our services are open and accessible to all.  We are incredibly thankful to Metrobus for putting on this free bus service, giving even more people the opportunity to access our Free Family Fun Day”.

The Family Fun Day will be full of activities from music creation to arts and crafts. There will be HAF providers offering dodgeball, archery, puppet making and cooking demos to name a few activities. Those who are HAF registered can sign up to the free WSCC funded places at the holiday clubs at the event. Join UKHarvest, WSCC and local HAF providers for an exhilarating day filled with food, fun and festivities for everyone.
