Children’s & Family Events at Brighton Dome this Half-Term

  • Brand new magic and juggling show, Heka from world famous Gandini Juggling
  • Innovative children’s theatre with Minny Stynker and Playmakes craft workshop
  • Rude Science returns with more revolting science and explosive experiments

Brighton Dome offers a range of vibrant and fun events for families and children of all ages this February half-term.

Family audiences will see the return of circus to the refurbished Corn Exchange with Heka, the brand-new show from the world famous Gandini Juggling, coming to Brighton Dome 14-15 Feb. Named after the Egyptian Goddess of magic, Heka combines magic and juggling, transporting the audience into a magical world where objects materialise and vanish, levitate, and transform before their eyes. It’s a beautiful, fun and silly show for adults and kids alike (ages 8+).

Children’s book illustrations come to life in Minny Stynker (15-16 Feb), a colourful adventure about the magic of creativity. Created by leading Bristol theatre makers Soap Soup Theatre, the show combines live performance, puppetry, cutting-edge projection mapping and augmented reality technology to create a unique theatre experience for the whole family (ages 3+). Children and their grown-ups can also take part in Playmakes craft workshops before the show, for a relaxed and fun session with all materials provided.

And on 21 Feb award-winning CBBC presenter and author Stefan Gates’ explosive family show Rude Science returns to the Brighton Dome Concert Hall. Packed with disgusting experiments and outrageous stunts, this high-octane, much-loved show continues to inspire young audiences all over to fall in love with science.
