For the first time, all expectant families in the UK can access a comprehensive, antenatal course, led by leading midwives, completely free of charge.
The programme offers everything that any expectant parent could need in terms of pre-natal support and will be a much-needed lifeline for those who may be struggling with the cost-of-living crisis, or who may not have access to local antenatal services. The NowBaby Complete Antenatal Course is a simple to access online programme that will give mums and dads-to-be, clear, impartial, medical and evidence-based information along with practical guidance, delivered by trusted expert NowBaby midwives, who have over 25 years’ experience.

The course includes over 8 hours of content, in digestible bite sized sessions, and covers every stage of pregnancy and early parenthood, including:
- Pregnancy & Birth Preparation
- Labour and Birth Choices -including natural birth, assisted birth, caesarean section and VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean)
- Breastfeeding
- Baby First Aid
- Plus, optional weekly access to expert midwives for continued reassurance and support
During the course, the focus will always be on empowering expectant parents with easy, bite-sized, balanced information so they feel supported, and actively involved in decisions about their care. With a total recommended retail price of £175, the course is being offered entirely free, thanks to Joie Baby, this removes any financial barriers to high-quality antenatal education and opens the door for all parents across the UK.
