Two magical dates from London Victoria: Friday 20th and Saturday 21st December

The Steam Dreams Rail Co. is thrilled to announce the eagerly awaited return of its hugely popular Santa Steam Express for the fourth year of festive fun. Departing from London Victoria on the 20th and 21st of December, trips will run at regular intervals throughout the day.

Pulled by an iconic steam locomotive, 70000 Britannia or 34046 Braunton, families will be warmly welcomed aboard this legendary Christmas steam train by Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their helpers as they jingle their way through festively decorated vintage carriages during the 1 hour and 30-minute magical journey around the capital, crossing the Thames during the journey.

Departing four-times per day at 09.30, 11:45, 15:30 and 18:15, there’s something for early-risers and afternoon travellers alike.

Adults can enjoy a complimentary welcome cup of warm mulled wine, tea, or coffee, along with a festive mince pie. Children will receive a Christmas-themed activity sheet, a drink and snack box filled with seasonal treats while they await their visit from Santa and his merry band of elves delivering Christmas gifts to every child on board.

Passengers can choose from three classes of travel: Coach Class, Club Class, or Private Compartments.

Head of Communications, Juliet Soley, commented: “We are delighted to be bringing the magic of steam and Santa to London Victoria for the fourth year. It is a joy to be part of the Christmas countdown traditions of many families and we look forward to welcoming guests on board this year to create special memories.” She added “with only two dates this year, we encourage guests to book now.”
