‘The Birds, the Bees, and the Elephant in the Room’ is a really interesting, insightful & very useful read to give parents & carers the language & confidence to answer any awkward questions with age-appropriate information. The author maintains an unambiguous biological perspective throughout, so there are no storks, no gooseberry bushes, no funny names for private parts, just good clear advice on how much detail to give a child, based on their age, when they ask you some of the questions which will inevitably crop up from time to time & also how to keep lines of communication open as children get older & start to have relationships with peers. A really very worthwhile read.
