- From May 8th – June 18th each Happy Meal® will come with either one of ten Yu-Gi-Oh! X Hello Kitty® and Friends plush toys or one of two Little People Big Dreams books: ‘I Can Be an Awesome Performer’ or ‘I Can Be a Curious Scientist’
- Customers dining in restaurants will also receive either a Hello Kitty® or Yami Yugi headband, flag and activity sheets
Yu-Gi-Oh! brand best known for manga, television series and the in-universe card game, and Sanrio’s Hello Kitty® and Friends are being brought together for the first time for Happy Meal® customers.
From 8th May until June 18th each limited-edition Happy Meal® will include one of ten plush toys featuring the Yu-Gi-Oh! X Hello Kitty® and Friends characters – or the option of a Little People, Big Dreams book.
And in a year of celebrations with not one but THREE anniversaries (Hello Kitty® and McDonald’s UK celebrate their 50th anniversaries whilst Yu-Gi-Oh! has its 25th Card Game anniversary), what better way to mark the occasion than with an exciting anime takeover!
Anime Meets Happy Meal®
For those families dining in restaurant, children will also receive either a Hello Kitty® or Yami Yugi Headband, flag and activity sheet. While, parents ordering via Drive-Thru or Delivery can also collect a bespoke Yu-Gi-Oh! X Hello Kitty® and Friends pairs game and activity sheet to play with their children at home.
And with May half term not far away, customers can also visit the McDonald’s Family Hub for a range of Yu-Gi-Oh! X Hello Kitty® and Friends activity sheets.
Anime Worlds Collide!
Never before have these two anime worlds collided, with characters including ‘Hello Kitty® x Dark Magician’, ‘Keroppi™ x Kuriboh’ and ‘Pompompurin™ x Exodia The Forbidden One’, to name a few.
By scanning the QR code found on the Happy Meal® box, children can also create a digital version of their very own toy and see it come to life in an awesome animated kawaii story.*
