A young woman carrying an unimaginable responsibility. A young man torn between love and honour. A jealous king who will stop at nothing to keep his crown. This live-action Christmas musical adventure for the entire family weaves classic Christmas melodies with humour, faith and new pop songs in a retelling of the greatest story ever told: the story of Mary and Joseph and the birth of Jesus. I’d love for you to join me, Krish Kandiah as I talk to the world-renowned director and music producer Adam Anders, in a special online music lesson on November 15th at 2pm.
Adam Anders has produced music for many well-known artists such as the Jonas Brothers and Selena Gomez, as well as for major motion pictures and television shows such as Camp Rock, High School Musical 3, Hannah Montana.
His latest production is a family musical about the Christmas story. Journey to Bethlehem stars, amongst others, Antonio Banderas , Fiona Palemo, Lecrae and Omid Djalili and will be released on November 17th.
Our live music lesson will include some sneak previews of the film as well as some behind-the-scenes insights from Adam Anders. I will also be asking him about:
- How to get started in writing your own songs
- The process of taking an idea for a song to record and produce it
- The opportunities for different careers in the music industry
- What it’s like to work with major recording artists like Pink, Jonas Brothers, LeCrae, Back Street Boys and Miley Cyrus
- Adam Ander’s reasons for making a family musical about the nativity
This lesson will be aimed mainly at Key Stage 2 and 3 students (Years 4-8), however it could be useful for students of all ages interested in careers in music, film and television.
Please note there will also be the opportunity for your school to win 6 ukuleles, as sponsored by Front Row Music.
Please check out the trailer here, and encourage your students to plan to watch Journey to Bethlehem following our special live music lesson when it releases in cinemas on November 17th.
Thanks
