Teenager’s Book of Life by Tony Griffin

Being a teenager in today’s complex world isn’t easy.
And raising one is no walk in the park either.

The Teenager’s Book of Life is the bestselling book loved by teenagers and parents all over the world because it connects with young people and makes them feel seen and heard.

Author Tony Griffin spent 10 years listening to the greatest fears, worries and dreams of more than 20,000 teenagers, and wrote the Teenager’s Book of Life to help both teenagers and those raising them.

After selling 35,000 copies, the book is now in its third edition and published by Little Island Books this autumn. Teenager’s Book of Life is like no other resource available for young people. Building on Griffin’s depth of experience with young people and with powerful stories, inspiring quotes and an understanding that connects it, the book brings teenagers on a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance.

Drawing on psychology, philosophy, sport and real human experience, the book guides readers through topics including identity, resilience, mental health, grief, relationships and self-belief. It doesn’t offer easy answers or sugar-coat the realities of life — it goes right to the heart of what it’s like to be a teenager and offers tools, perspectives and the reassurance that the struggle of growing up is also the making of you.

New to this edition is a chapter on grief, developed in collaboration with clinical psychologist Dr. Angela Griffin, and a personal letter from the author to his sixteen-year-old self.

Read it and pass it on so young people all over the world can become everything they were born to be…

“I kept encountering the same quiet crisis — teenagers who were capable, curious, and full of life, but who had somehow lost access to themselves. They had answers for every exam but no language for what they were feeling or who they were becoming.” – Tony Griffin
