National Recognition for Sutton photographer Magda Bright
Local Photographer Magda Bright has achieved the distinction of winning a
Bronze Award with several of her images in the Guild of Professional Photographers Image of the Month competition, which typically attracts over 1000 entries each month!
The Guild of Photographers is a highly regarded national photographic body and its members are dedicated to enhancing their skills in the art, craft and profession of photography.
They are committed to achieving the highest standards of professionalism for the benefit of their customers. They pledge themselves to delivering the highest standards of customer service and to a journey of continuing professional development.
“I have spent over a year training and working hard towards the Guild Qualified Status and kept entering their Image of the Month Competition. Newborn photography is my passion and I wanted to achieve recognition by the Guild. When I found out about my Bronze Award for all three images I entered just a month after being awarded my Qualified Status I was over the moon!” said Magda. She has since achieved further Bronze Awards for her images.
Lesley Thirsk, a Director of the Guild said that she is “delighted that Magda has achieved this Award! The Guild has very demanding standards when judging photographic competitions. In fact, the judging is undertaken by a panel of internationally recognised experts from a variety of photographic backgrounds, so it is an achievement to be, quite rightly, proud of!”
Magda gained her qualification in Newborn Photography with the Guild at the beginning of the year. The qualification requires hard work and dedication as the photographer has to submit a panel of 21 images to be judged and assessed. This results in ensuring the photographer who achieves this qualification provides their customers with consistency and great quality of images.
