Barbara Perrett

photo-4-2I joined the group in September 2013. I had been working as a private English tutor for the previous few years, before that I worked in IT. I was looking for something that gave me more control over my hours and which would fit in with family life, while also giving me a sense of achievement. I happened to pick up a copy of the Family Grapevine one day and saw an advert for the local franchise. I was very interested because I knew the value of the magazine myself as a parent. After some investigation, I decided to join and am really enjoying running my own business. There’s a great sense of being part of a team, but I also like being totally responsible for my own magazine – I do everything apart from the actual printing.
